Good news!

My friend Elton Cerda moved to Marathon Key a few years ago with his wife. Last year, at the end of September, he found a hatchling Rosy Rat snake while trimming a tree. He sent it to me (after I checked with Kevin Enge to make sure that the Pantherophis on Marathon Key are not protected) and it is a little girl. He called last night because he found another hatchling. He is sending it to me today or tomorrow. ┬áSure hope it’s a little boy. Here are some pictures of the little girl he sent me last year. I took the pictures on April 1 right after she shed. Hard to tell size — but she is eating hopper mice already.
