Some updates from the snake room.

This female Jungle Carpet Python is looking huge. She is so large that I cannot palpate eggs. I literally can’t get my hand around her. She is still on feed and ate a couple of small rats about a week ago. She also has continued to breed with the male and I caught them copulating early last week. They have been mating, off and on, since early September.

She’s gorgeous.

I sold this female Biak Green Tree Python to a friend of mine in 2009. I bought it from Tom Crutchfield in the summer of 2007 and I believe she was a yearling at that time.

Well, my friend had surgery on his back a couple of weeks ago so I am taking care of this snake until about March or April. She’s a sweet looking Biak. ¬†Only about 560 grams when I picked her up from him a couple of weeks ago but I am feeding her a lot. We’ll see if I can get her to breeding size in 5 or 6 months. Here’s a recent picture I took of her.
